What do y’all think the R&B and gospel fields will look like? These two genres are consistently ignored, which pisses me off because these fields matter to me the most and are the only ones I look for. So I’ll go first.

    Best R&B Performance:

    “Boo’d Up” – Ella Mai

    “Focus” – H.E.R.

“Long As I Live” – Toni Braxton

    “Good Man” – Ne-Yo

    “Tempo” – Chris Brown

    Best R&B Album:

Sex and Cigarettes – Toni Braxton

    R.O.S.E. – Jessie J

    Good Thing – Leon Bridges

    TKO – Mya

    H.E.R. – H.E.R.

    Best Traditional R&B Performance:

    “Evergreen” – Yebba

    “Someone’s Lady” – Jessie J

    “Deadwood” – Toni Braxton

“Bet Ain’t Worth the Hand” – Leon Bridges

“How Many Ways” – Keith Sweat ft. K-Ci

    Best Urban Contemporary Album:

Everything is Love – The Carters

    Dirty Computer – Janelle Monae

    K.T.S.E. – Teyana Taylor

    War & Leisure – Miguel

Heartbreak on a Full Moon – Chris Brown

    Best Gospel Album:

    Make Room – Johnathan McReynolds

One Nation Under God – Jekalyn Carr

Bible of Love – Snoop Dogg

[The fourth and fifth slots are open].

    Best Gospel R&B Performance/Song: TBA

If Snoop Dogg doesn’t win, he should record a tejano/mariachi album.

    Why new thread tho?

Because everyone would’ve overlooked it by choosing to focus on pop, country, and rap, so I chose to start a new thread.

I know that, honey, *inserts eye roll due to your condescension*, but I started a new thread because everyone would’ve overlooked it by choosing to focus on pop, country, and rap. I made that very clear.

His chances could go either way. But if I know the Grammy committee, they’ll go with a traditional gospel artist who has a broad audience and is familiar to the public.
