The Week 10 Power of Veto competition on Saturday (September 1) will be the first to be held since the introduction of a new twist, Jury Battle Back. This wrinkle in the game played out on Thursday’s live episode. Scottie Salton, who was sent packing in Week 8, won the right to return to the #BB20 house. Keep reading for all the spoilers since then, including how his re-entry impacted the nomination evictions of Week 10 Head of Household Tyler Crispen.
On Friday Tyler named Scottie along with Haleigh Broucher for possible eviction on the live September 6 episode. Neither of them is part of his Level 6 alliance. Haleigh is a 21-year-old student from Texas while Scottie is a 26-year-old shipping manager from Chicago. He had been eliminated in Week 8 by the first unanimous vote of the season. His rival, Faysal Shafaat, had a short-lived victory as he was evicted on Thursday.
In that showdown, Fessy had faced off against Haleigh. He had four houseguests voting for his eviction while Haleigh had just one: Sam Bledsoe. When she had been HOH in Week 4, Sam had tapped Haleigh for possible elimination. But then Fessy won the POV and threw her a lifeline.
With Fessy gone and Scottie as her only other ally in the house, Haleigh will have to rely on herself this week if she wants to be removed from the eviction line-up. She and Scottie are pitted against each other in the POV competition that is due to take place on Saturday afternoon. While Haleigh has never won this power before, Scottie claimed it in Week 3 (he left the line-up the same).
Tyler – who will compete as reigning HOH – has prevailed in the POV three times to date in weeks 2, 5 and 7. The other three players for the POV will be drawn from the other remaining houseguests: Sam, Kaycee Clark, JC Mounduix, Brett Robinson.and Angela Rummans, Of these, Angela won POV in Week 6 and saved Tyler; Brett did so in Week 8 and removed himself from the line-up; and Kaycee claimed it in Week 9 but did not invoke it.
UPDATE: Kaycee, JC and Sam are the three other houseguests who will take part in the POV competition. Brett will host while Angela will be the lone houseguest on the sidelines watching.
